Pick a BANGE bag by three things: the size of your laptop, how you travel, and how much security you want. For a 15.6-inch laptop and airport trips, the BANGE #7875 with its built-in combination lock is the travel pick; for a 17.3-inch laptop or a weekend away, the expandable #1908D (26 L to 45 L) is the one that fits; for a light daily commute, the #3115 roll-top or the #LY506 keep weight under 1 kg.

1. Start with your laptop size

Every BANGE listing states the largest laptop it takes. Measure your laptop diagonally, or check its model, and choose a bag rated for that size or bigger.

• Up to 17.3 inches: BANGE 45L Expandable Weekender #1908D ($72).
• Up to 15.6 inches: BANGE Anti-Theft Travel Laptop Backpack #7875 ($55), BANGE Travel Backpack #S53 ($64), BANGE Multi Compartment Business Backpack #G65 ($64), BANGE Smart Business Backpack #2517 ($55, which also has a 12.9-inch tablet compartment), BANGE Roll Top Laptop Backpack #3115 ($49) and BANGE Lightweight Laptop Backpack #LY506 ($49).
• 15–16-inch ultra-thin laptops: BANGE Super Slim Laptop Backpack #77115D ($49), about 9 cm deep with a flannel-lined sleeve.
• 14 inches: BANGE Commuter Tote Bag #6803 ($29), for people who prefer a tote to a backpack.

2. Anti-theft features: what each model actually has

"Anti-theft" means different things on different bags, so check the feature, not the label.

• Built-in combination lock: the #7875 locks its main compartment.
• TSA lock: the BANGE Anti Theft Sling Bag #22085 ($33).
• Concealed zips and hidden pockets: the #77115D has a concealed double zip and a hidden pocket for your wallet and phone; the #22085 sling has a hidden pocket; the BANGE Crossbody Sling Bag #7565 ($29) has an anti-theft pocket; the #2517 has an anti-theft card holder.

3. Expandable bags and travel extras

• Expandable: the #1908D grows from 26 L to 45 L, and the #S53 has an expansion design with a 20–35 L capacity.
• Trolley strap (slides over a suitcase handle): #7875, #1908D, #77115D, #S53, #G65, #3115, #LY506 and the #6803 tote.
• USB charging port (you supply the power bank): #1908D, #S53, #2517 and the #22085 sling.
• Wet and dry pocket for damp clothes or toiletries: #1908D, #S53, #G65 and #77115D.
• Opens flat like a suitcase: the #7875 opens 180°, which makes packing and airport checks easier.

4. Water resistance

BANGE bags here use water-resistant Oxford, nylon or polyester fabrics. The #2517 listing, for example, describes a splash-proof surface for light rain. Treat them as water-resistant, not waterproof, and don't leave a laptop bag standing in heavy rain.

5. Which model for what

• Daily commute or university: #LY506 (0.65 kg) or #3115 roll-top (0.83 kg); the #77115D if you want a slim profile and hidden pockets.
• Business trip with a flight: #7875 for the lock and 180° opening; #S53 or #G65 (20–35 L, boarding-pass pocket) if you need more compartments.
• Weekend away or carry-on only: #1908D.
• Gym or sport: BANGE Gym Duffel Bag #1917 ($54): 39 L, a vented shoe compartment and a wet pocket, carried as a backpack, shoulder bag or by hand.
• Camera kit: BANGE 20L Camera Bag #7277-15 ($75): fits 1–2 SLR cameras and 3–4 lenses with adjustable padded dividers, a tripod holder and a laptop compartment.
• Hands-free in the city: the #7565 or #22085 sling, or the BANGE Crossbody Chest Bag #2876 ($28), which fits an 8.6-inch iPad.
